We are a group of curators and design historians who are mounting a free exhibition at Ugly Duck from the 3rd to 6th August 2023.
The show will consider commodified objects made since 2012 that explore feminist themes. As the temperature of unrest is igniting conversation about our spending power, it is crucial to consider the duality between critiquing corporate cooption and supporting feminist practice.
Amber Kim, Cas Bradbeer, Sufiyeh Hadian and Zarna Hart are students of the History of Design MA Programme at the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Royal College of Art.
This exhibition is funded by our degree programme’s Student-Led Project Fund and the Design History Society’s Research Exhibition Grant.
